My husband and I dined in for lunch here. The space looks like a hole in the wall from the outside but being from NYC you know that those are some of the best spots to eat at. Grabbed the steak and arroz grandules(yellow rice & pigeon peas) con maduros(sweet plantain). Everything was delicious. The steak was well flavored super tender and the maduros were perfectly sweet and the rice seasoned well.. The owner Brenda and her staff is wonderful. Definitely will return for more plates here!

This place may be just off the beaten path but is 100% worth it! Excellent food generous portions and more empanada varieties than I have ever seen. Must try the Cuban or flank steak & cheese

It needs more advertising bc wow i moved to a Bangor a year ago and just found it . The food is a bit pricey but i understand due to the location and lack of traffic but the food is amazing the service is amazing . The sandwiches remind me of the sandwiches you get from New York . If they had more business the food would move more , my only complaint was the rice I got , I felt it was from day precious or maybe the hot holding was making it harder but the empanadas the dough is fresh. Love Love

My mom and I tried this spot for take out lunch for the first time. The phone exchange when ordering was a little awkward, but it was lunchtime and perhaps they were busy. I had the rib combo (only available on Wednesdays) and my mom had the chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was sparse compared to my rib combo, especially considering the $2 price difference. My mom however, was happy with her quesadilla and was satiated after. I had no idea what a combo entailed as the menu does not do a good job explaining. The ribs were very tasty, though maybe a tad in the dry side for my taste. The pigeon pea rice wasn’t exactly my taste (too many beans) but I still enjoyed it and would order this again now that I know what to expect. We will definitely be back to try other menu items!
